John Howard Ice Skate
Last month the John Howard Society of Durham (JHS) held their 3rd annual fundraiser for the United Way at the General Motors Centre. Participants enjoyed an afternoon of skating as well as fun door prizes and hot chocolate. The JHS is a non-profit, social service agency that is dedicated to helping individuals and families, youth and adults with programs and services in areas such as relationships, counselling, employment, literacy, housing, crime prevention and more. The skating afternoon was only one of many activities JHS has scheduled for this year’s United Way campaign.
