2008 November > World Breastfeeding Week

The Durham Breastfeeding Coalition celebrated World Breastfeeding Week last month at the Oshawa Shopping Centre. A variety of speakers delivered short presentations concerning topics such as the partner’s role, midwives, doulas, lactation consultation, public health resources, and much more. A unique breastfeeding challenge was also held to celebrate the special week, which included great prizes to be won. Guests and visitors enjoyed a delicious cake in honour of the event and were also provided with a variety of take-home informational materials.
