2008 November > Stellar Literary Festival The Stellar Literary Festival is a special event dedicated to celebrating the best of Durham Region's poets, authors, writers, readers, storytellers, filmmakers and songwriters. This year marked the second annual festival, which promotes the pleasure of reading by uniting public audiences of all ages to honour the art of literature. Featured speakers of the event were Lynn Phillip Hodgson, best-selling author of Inside Camp-X, Richard Grove, founder of the Canada Cuba Literary Alliance, playwright Michael Kashmanian, storyteller, songwriter and singer Heather Whaley and Canadian Federation of Poets national co-ordinator George Arnold, to name a few.
