Despite the rainy weather, over 20 riders from the Durham E-Bike Association sported their rain-gear for this year’s Fall Ride. The riders met at McLaughlin Art Gallery and traveled together to Oshawa’s waterfront where they had lunch. The Durham E-Bike Association was founded by Jason Carter in August of 2007 as a Facebook Group and has been growing speedily ever since. The purpose of the association is to raise awareness of not only the practicality of owning and operating an e-bike but the effect they can have on preserving our environment. Anyone who owns (or wishes to own) an electronic-assisted bicycle or scooter is welcome to join. For more information, check out home.durhamebikeassociation.org.
