2008 November > Day Of Hope & Leadership More than 260 business and community leaders attended the Day of Hope and Leadership on October 16th. Speakers Denise Marek, Ian Hill, Todd Skinner and Dan Carter motivated and inspired the crowd, encouraging them to move forward, face challenges head-on and carve out a successful future. Dan’s discussion was electrifying and brought the audience to their feet. Donations, offers of volunteer services and sincere expressions of thanks followed the presentation. The event had been sold out for several months with tickets in such high demand that a live simulcast was aired online and at the Embassy Church in Oshawa. Plans are already underway for next year’s conference.
The day raised more than $35,000 benefiting the Hope Centre of Leadership at the Oshawa Community Health Centre. For more information about the Centre or to make a donation, call 905-723-0036.
