The Sydenham Kiwanis group persevered during scattered showers when they held a yard sale at St. Stephen’s Church in Oshawa last month to raise funds for the 38th Kiwanis Music Festival in April of next year. This local senior’s service club is comprised of retirees from Oshawa and the surrounding area who volunteer their time and services to the community. The term “Kiwanis” comes from a native expression that translates to “we trade” or “we share our talents”.
