2008 November > Centennial Residence Apple Pie Contest

Last month Centennial Retirement Residence challenged bakers of Durham Region to a cook-off contest where judges determined who had the best apple pie recipe. Residence members and their families enjoyed an afternoon of taste testing and apple cider while the winners were determined. First place went out to Sara Mintz, followed closely by Louise Gatej, and Marie Fujita-Yamashita with third. Everyone left full of delicious pie and with fresh apples to take home.
