Every spring & summer residents of Oshawa help beautify our community by cultivating their gardens, adding colour and spirit to our neighbourhoods and businesses. By registering with Communities in Bloom, these residents are eligible to receive a Garden of the Week honour for one of the participating 14 weeks. Last month the Garden of the Week recipients received special recognition, and volunteers and sponsors were thanked with a reception at the Jubilee Pavilion. Now as the cooler weather sets in, the focus changes to Festive Lighting displays, so if you, or someone you know has that special twinkle and would like to register please contact 905-436-5636 ext 2162. Volunteers are always needed to help scout and photograph the displays of the week as well, if interested in helping out please call the same number or email festivelighting@oshawa.ca.
