2008 November > Westmount Kiwanis Celebrates 50 Years

Westmount Kiwanis celebrated it's 50th anniversary and installed it's new executive. At the regular Thursday meeting at Centennial Albert Church, incoming president Gus Gordon thanked Past President June Stevenson, and June presented Ted Curl with the Kiwanian of the Year Award. Westmount Kiwanis is one the thousands of Kiwanis Clubs throughout the world, all dedicated to helping children. In Oshawa some of these projects include literary programs for beginning readers, Kiwanis food drives and the Kiwanis Music Festival.
