Read, Dream and Achieve!

The Oshawa Generals Hockey Club recently partnered up with the Oshawa Public Libraries to present the Read, Dream and Achieve Program. The first of its kind, the program was designed to encourage youths and their families to realize their dreams by reading, and also to show them their role models sharing the same passion of reading a great book! Team members of the Oshawa Generals, along with local personalities were invited to take part to create an “all star reading team.” Special guests at the Jess Hann Branch on Saturday, January 9th were Mayor John Gray, CKDO’s Mike Luck and Oshawa General’s #6, Jimmy McDowell. This unique program, which concludes in February of 2010, can also be followed either through the library website at www.oshawalibrary.on.ca or through the Oshawa Generals website at www.oshawagenerals.com
