Car raffle winner Paul Wineck with Optimist members Erick Goodwin & Greg Bamber

Car Raffle Winner

Congratulations to Paula Wineck of Whitby who was the lucky winner of a new 2009 Pontiac Vibe from the Optimist Club of Oshawa's car raffle. Along with winning the car, Paula also won $1,500 in groceries. Stephen Hambley, president of the Optimist Club stated that "the dedicated volunteers reached over 12,000 in ticket sales for the raffle." Proceeds of the raffle will help the Optimist Club fund programs directed to assisting youth in our community.
