OSCC Celebrates Shrove Tuesday
Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres (OSCC) celebrated Shrove Tuesday last month by whipping up and serving batches of pancakes to residents and members at every branch across the city. This mid-winter tradition precedes Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of the season of fasting and prayer called Lent. Pancakes are traditionally known as a food made with rich ingredients, which are typically consumed before Lent begins.
