Central Collegiate Principal Patricia Lepine & teacher Dave Lewis receive the award from DRHBA President Rebecca Evans

Award of Excellence

The Durham Region Home Builders' Association (DRHBA) honored educators at their annual Business Showcase last month. DRHBA President Rebecca Evans presented an Award of Excellence to Central Collegiate teacher Dave Lewis and Principal Patricia Lepine recognizing their contribution to the residential construction industry. Schools like Central Collegiate have been providing a safe avenue for students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and can learn hands-on about the field through their school's construction co-op program. In addition, Ms. Evans presented the program representatives with a cheque for $2,500 to continue to help fund this important program. This money was donated by local builders currently participating in the program including Midhaven Homes, City Homes, Denoble Homes, Jeffery Homes and Woodland Homes.
